Happy Easter everyone! If you are still looking for something great to bake, I’ve got something for you: Have a look at my Easter Lamb.
It’s a black lamb with great poppy seed filling. You could also use white filling. Or no filling. It looks great any way. And it’s so easy to make! (Deutsche Version.)
First, you need some yeast dough – I love my recipe from home, you can find it here.
While the dough is rising, you can prepare the filling. Here you can find the best poppy seed filling I know.
When the dough is ready, roll it out – It should be a very long, but thin rectangle. But before you fill it, cut off some dough for the lamb’s head and feet. And you need 2 raisins for its eyes.
Now, you can fill the dough and roll it in.
And then, cut it. All little poppy seed buns should be about the same size.
And with those poppy seed buns, make a lamb! A little, lovely, pretty black lamb.
Preheat your oven to 170° C / 340° F and bake your lamb for about 25 minutes. When it’s nicely browned, take it out.
