111. Hamburg.

Mum and I went to Hamburg last week. And it was great. So the 111th post of I really take the cake… will be dedicated to this beautiful city. (I actually forgot the 2nd birthday of the blog this year. But 111 is prettier anyway!)

Feta Food.

I just had such an incredibly good dinner that I have to post this right now. Go to the store, buy feta and make it. Do it!

The Cat’s Pyjamas.

Just to let you know I’m still alive:

– I’m not baking at the moment because my stomache is kind of angry with me (I don’t know why, but half a day of blood tests and other examinations will hopefully let me know.)
– Also, I’m studying instead of baking. Yay, it’s exam time. Who isn’t exited about that?
– I found the expression “the cat’s pyjamas” today, and it’s awesome.

My cat is the cat’s pyjamas at sleeping the whole day.

Last week…

…I got on a plane with Mum.

We went to London.

See you, Vienna.

Mum and I are leaving. Tomorrow. We are leaving behind the men in our family for a 4-day-trip to London. Yay!
But Mum made them something tasty before. While I was at university and writing a test, she made Linzer Augen (Linzer Eyes).

Snow on the First

Today I woke up and I realized that it was snowing. It’s still snowing in Vienna. A lot. There was snow on my window sill.

What’s lying there in the snow?

Cutting myself an apple break.

I’m sure you know this feeling when everything’s too much and you really need a break. Right now. My break looks like this. Apple Strudel.

Today I woke up after another bad night’s sleep with too much going on in my head. I was tired. I knew I had thousands of more important things to do and to study, but I couldn’t. Today, I decided I was going to take a break. So I wrote my most important mails of the day and went in the kitchen. And then I did what I wanted to do for a month. Bake an apple strudel.
