Cinnamon Stars

(translated from here)

You need:
500 g
ground almonds
300 g
powdered sugar
2 teaspoons
of ground cinnamon
2
egg whites
2 tablespoons
almond liqueur (Amaretto)

1 egg white
125 g
powdered sugar

This is what you do:
Mix the almonds, the 300 g of powdered sugar and the cinnamon. Then add the 2 egg whites and the Amaretto. Mix everything with your mixer or kitchen machine, then knead it until you have a nice dough. In several portions, roll the dough out on your workplate. (Use powdered sugar to prevent it from sticking.) It should be about 1 cm thick. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out stars. (Dip the cutter in powdered sugar in between.)

Pre-heat the oven to 150°C.

Whisk the remaining egg white very stiff. Mix in the 125 g powdered sugar bit by bit. Put that glaze on the stars. (I use a teaspoon for that, you could also use a brush.)

Bake the stars for about 10 minutes.

Enjoy!
